History:

The caern is based in Pinnacles National Monument, near San Jose. The Uktena conceal the pre-Wyrmcoming history from all but their Little Brother, giving cause for suspicion to some. Over the last two hundred years, San Jose has become a barely secret citadel of Mages, even to the point of having a publicly open Rosicrucian Museum. In the face of these threatening offshoot Hermetics, the small Uktena Sept begged Wendigo to join them, and /then/, once the Pure Ones formed a stronger bloc, invited other Garou to swell their numbers as well. The Gatekeeper rigidly bans all but Pure Ones from the Umbra, and only Garou in lupus are allowed in the Bawn, as it is claimed that the spirits here are very sensitive. In the face of such arbitrary treatment, no others would assist the Pure Ones save the four packs of Shadow Lords who arrived en masse in 1906. All three tribes of this uneasy coalition have since been in extremis.
