The Children of Gaia sometimes adopt humans who bear no Garou blood as Kinfolk. This may occur when a Garou takes a mate; even then, the ritemaster makes extensive study of the subject prior to performing the rite to determine the subject's suitability. The ritual itself must be performed on three separate occasions, and when complete, the Veil is permanently pierced and the subject becomes immune to the Delirium. Unlike the Rending of the Veil, ritemasters warn that this must never be used to terrify the subject; it is a welcoming rite.
