MOTHERS TOUCH (Level 1):
This gift allows the user to heal the wounds (aggravated or otherwise) of others by expending a Gnosis point and laying hands over the injury. This Gift does not allow you to heal yourself, and undead and spirits are not effected by it. Mother's Touch cannot be used multiple times in quick succession, by the same healer or by others; typically, once on any given set of injuries from a scene is all that is possible. The amount of injury healed is dependent on the user's Intelligence, their skill in the healing arts, and the Rage of the individual they are healing.
An extra level of damage can be healed if the MT-user expends a point of Willpower, but the maximum number of levels healed can never exceed the user's Intelligence score.
Battlescars may be healed through the application of this Gift, though this requires the expenditure of an additional point of Gnosis (sometimes two if the Battlescar is very serious), and it must be done right away (GM/Wizard discretion); a Garou who has a Battlescar healed may suffer a loss of Renown in the eyes of other Garou, as many hold these to be badges of Honor and Glory and proof of a Garou's deeds. Healing of Battlescars is a visible effort, so it's not something your peers will fail to notice when it's done (if they're around and conscious).
Gnosis regenerates slowly in the IC world, so use of this gift is recommended only for life threatening or grave injuries, or situations where immediate healing is critical for other actions. It is not to be used frivolously, and is not used to alleviate inconvenient pain or small injuries. A Garou can regenerate their health faster than the healer can recoup their Gnosis, and Gnosis is needed for much more than just healing.
