Editing Character Generation

'''CharGen''' (short for Character Generation, also referred to on GarouMUSH as 'Birthplace' or 'BP') is not a global command, per se, but the process through which every character on the game goes through to assign starting stats to that character. This information (and the information contained in "+help chargen" on the MUSH) documents some of the Birthplace idiosyncrasies regarding starting statistics points available to be assigned out that players should expect going into CharGen on GarouMUSH.

Please note that the information contained here does not include Foil characters. Additionally, not all listed below are available through standard CharGen. == Rank 0 ([[Cub]]) Starting Stats ==

[[Attributes]]: (Physical/Social/Mental) 6/4/3, assigned in whatever priority you choose, and assigned out in each category as you choose. NOTE: Cubs receive two (2) more Attribute points to assign out after a successfully completed Rite of Passage.

NOTE: Although Cubs choose their Gifts during CharGen, they will not be immediately available for use In Character (IC). One Gift, either breed or auspice, can be learned from a spirit when a cub is close to their Rite of Passage if the cub's Tribal Elder or mentor seeks a spirit to teach the cub. Cubs cannot ask spirits to teach a Gift to them on their own; an adult Garou much aid them.

Additionally, all characters start with 10 [[Freebies]] they can spend to increase Backgrounds, Attributes, and Secondary Attributes. Additional Gifts may not be purchased as a cub.

Secondary Attributes: Same as Cliath Garou, plus the addition of 1 additional dot to spend in the Secondary Attribute of their choice.

== Freebie Costs ==

Freebies can be used to raise Attributes, Secondary Attributes, and Backgrounds at the following costs:

* Willpower: 1 freebie per additional point
* Rage: 1 freebie per additional point
* Gnosis: 2 freebies per additional point
* Backgrounds: 1 freebie per additional point
* Primary Attributes (Stamina, Charisma, etc.): 5 freebies per additional point
